Fast forward 3 years and we all couldn't be happier if someone would just poop in the potty. At 3, he really understood it was HIS day and loved all the specialness of the day. We rented a bounce house from base for the weekend. Jack bouced endlessly, Caleb was terrified of it, freaking out anytime the castle was blown up or even deflated.
We bought him a Power Wheels 2-seater Jeep off of Craigslist, though the battery wouldn't hold a charge, so fortunately Wal-Mart carried that specific battery and we got it charged up. It ended up not mattering anyway, because he is scared to drive it. He says it's too fast, so he puts it in reverse (which is a slower speed) and drives in circles backwards.
His Langford grandparents gave him a full-up cowboy outfit--boots, hat, chaps, belt, vest, bandana. He. Loved. It. Wouldn't even take it off to jump in the bounce house (see above picture).
After church on Sunday, we had a party for him with a bunch of his friends: more presents, more bouncing, cake & ice cream. Great day!
Happy Birthday to our big boy Jack! You have filled our lives and we thank God for you every day. We love you so much, Little Man.
